The mission of the Church has to be seen as a continuous Pentecost, destroying the hardness of hearts and promoting each believer to be an active instrument in building God`s Kingdom. The disciples are called to follow the Master and continue doing what He did during His own life and mission: His ministry of teaching, healing, caring, and listening to those who come to Him with their needs and requests. This mission can only be understood and find its true purpose within the concrete realities of the world where the Church is present. Moreover, Christian mission encompasses the whole way the Church lives out its life in society, including its internal life as well as its reaching out, particularly, to those in need. This mission requires continuous awareness that its protagonist is the Spirit given to us. He is working wonders, destroying barriers, bringing life! We are to join in His mission with passionate commitment. No room for bystanders. Mission is at the heart of every believer! Now is the time to join in.
